Coffs Coast
|
Coffs Coast is centred around the sub-tropical city of Coffs Harbour, about halfway between Sydney and Brisbane. The landscape ranges from sub-alpine mountains (Alt 1562 m) at Point Lookout with snow gums and alpine grasses to sub-tropical World Heritage and National Park rainforest. This diverse environment is home to native marsupials like Sugar Gliders, Eastern Grey kangaroo, Lyrebirds and White Bellied sea eagles. Humpback whales also pass the coast yearly. While cool to crisp in the mountains, the coast and hinterland valleys enjoy one of Australia’s most liveable environments with a sub-tropical climate.
