Earning Points
- The allocation of Points in relation to a stay with a holiday Partner is made in accordance with these terms and conditions and any additional conditions published by or on behalf of VRPL from time to time. These terms and conditions are subject to change at the discretion of VRPL and reference should be made to the applicable terms and conditions before booking a holiday.
- A "Qualifying Holiday" means a packaged holiday:
a. For holiday packages booked ex Australia for travel to Australia New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, Points will be earned in connection with a Qualifying Holiday as follows:
b. minimum of flights plus hotels components booked, plus any additional ancillary item (car hire, insurance, transfers, activities) purchased at the time of booking
c. that meets the criteria set by Blue Holidays in relation to the minimum and maximum number of nights accommodation:
i. the minimum number of nights accommodation to qualify as a package is one night;
ii. there are currently no maximum number of nights requirements - Each Qualifying Holidays will earn 5 points for each AUD dollar spent may only be earned by one Member for each holiday package. Only the first Member whose name is on the reservation record as the first nominated traveler may earn Points.
- Supplier direct charges related to the package components but not collected in the initial package price will not be eligible for accrual of Velocity points. Supplier direct charges include but are not limited to:
a. Hotel related charges: food and beverages, telephone, laundry, "pay per view" charges and GST.
b. Car related charges: Damage liability cover, vehicle registration fee, premium location fee, admin fee, taxes, GST, one way fees, age surcharges, equipment, additional drive fees, baby/booster seats or GPS.
5. Points will be awarded for Qualifying Holidays booked through the Blue Holidays website, Guest Contact Centre or via a travel agents.
6. Nominated at the time of booking, a single designated passenger whom is also a Velocity member in the package will accrue points for eligible packages at the time of purchase for the entire packages price.
a. Package price includes all passengers in the package price, multiple rooms and includes minimum flight and hotel component.
b. Additional taxes, fees and charges, such as GST, credit card fees or call centre administration fees will be eligible for earning points as it forms part of the total package value.
c. Points will be awarded for holiday ‘no shows’ provided the holiday package has been paid for in full.
7. Package components of Qualifying Holidays, which are provided by suppliers whom already participate in the Velocity program will not be earned separately, ie Virgin Blue flights will not be earned in addition to points earned as part of a package.
8. Ancillary items sold separately on the Blue Holidays website, not as part of a “Qualifying Holiday” are not eligible earning points.
9. All package holidays booked on Blue Holidays, are governed by the Blue Holidays' terms and conditions’ found on www.blueholidays.com.au.
Velocity / Blue Holidays Voucher Redemption Terms & Conditions
1. All Blue Holidays/Velocity Rewards voucher enquiries and redemptions need to be made through contacting Velocity.
2. No bookings will be held by Blue Holidays without person/s having possession of a current Blue Holidays/Velocity Rewards voucher and the ability to state the vouchers unique code at the time of booking.
3. To redeem the voucher, the voucher holder will select a combination of airfares and accommodation to any domestic or international destinations available on www.blueholidays.com.au. Where budget permits, the voucher holder may also select car hire or optional services (i.e. land tours, activities, insurance etc. that are available on www.blueholidays.com.au) for their holiday. The voucher holder will then phone the Guest Contact Centre at 13 15 16 to book their holiday package. Velocity points will not be accrued on the Blue Holidays package on the value of the voucher redeemed.
4. The voucher holder must quote their vouchers unique security code in order to claim the voucher, if an incorrect code is given Blue Holidays will not honor nor hold the booking.
5. Seasonal and/or peak “black-out” periods may apply depending on the time of travel and/or flights/accommodation/activities selected.
6. To redeem a voucher, holders must be 18 years old and above to redeem the voucher.
7. Vouchers may be transferable; however transfer details must be clearly stated at the time of issuance of the voucher through Velocity. The name of that is on the voucher must be the passenger making the booking. Security questions maybe asked at the time of booking to verify identification of voucher passenger.
8. A Blue Holidays/Velocity rewards voucher holder may hold and claim more than one voucher on a single holiday package, provided the authenticity of each voucher can be validated. Blue Holidays/Velocity Rewards vouchers are available in either AUD $200 or AUD $500 denominations only. Voucher values are in Australian Dollars only. No name changes after the issuance of vouchers will be permitted.
9. Where the total value of the holiday package (including any applicable airport taxes, other taxes, insurance, fees or charges) selected by the winner exceeds the awarded voucher value, the winner will pay the difference to Blue Holidays. Unless otherwise stated, all prices listed on the website are inclusive of GST, taxes and applicable charges. A further credit card fee of 1.5% of the residual purchase price is applicable.
10. The voucher value must be fully utilized for one booking with the validity period of six months from the date of issue. In the event that the full or balance value of the voucher is not utilized by the expiry date or the entire balance is not used in full upon redeeming the voucher, the unused value of the voucher will be forfeited and no cash refund or further credit requests will be entertained. Blue Holiday’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The vouchers under no circumstances can be redeemed for cash or any other product or service other than available on www.blueholidays.com.au.
11. Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses become the responsibility of the voucher /s holder/s (and their companions) including but not limited to spending money, transfers, meals (other than those specified), drinks (other than those specified), incidentals, mini-bar, laundry, room service, telephone calls, activities, taxes (including departure taxes), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, passports, travel insurance, pre and post accommodation, optional activities or excursions and all other ancillary costs.
The voucher holder (and their travelling companion) is also responsible for having a current passport or obtaining a current passport before travelling and any other documentation or immunisations that may be required in order to take the voucher. The voucher holder (and their travelling companion) is also responsible for obtaining any visas that may be required and for ensuring that they have travel insurance. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the holder at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges.
12. Blue Holidays shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) as a result of taking or utilising any voucher, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
13. Blue Holidays accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the usage of vouchers. Independent financial advice should be sought.
14. Blue Holidays is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the entrant or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this incentive scheme (competition), or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications, internet access, network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
15. Blue Holidays shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any voucher/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Blue Holidays will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of or in connection with this incentive scheme (competition) if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of Blue Holidays including without limitation technical malfunctions or failures.
