Flying While Pregnant
Many women fly while pregnant and have no difficulties. We recommend that you discuss your travel plans with your doctor before flying, particularly during the later stages of pregnancy.
We require you to travel with medical clearance (PDF, 77k) during pregnancy if the following applies:
- Pregnancy with complications.
- Multiple pregnancies after 34 weeks.
- Normal pregnancy after 36 weeks.
We recommend that you drink plenty of water while onboard the aircraft, and go for plenty of walks when permitted. Please view our in-flight magazine Voyeur for exercises to assist with blood flow during your flight.
