Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue invite you to stretch out and relax in the 'Blue Zone'.

You can now pre-reserve an extra roomy over-wing exit row seat on Virgin Blue Boeing 737 and Embraer E190 Aircraft, Row 1ABC and the over-wing exit on Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue Boeing 737 Aircraft, for a small additional charge.

The 'Blue Zone' seating offers you the equivalent of a 39 inch (99 cm) seat pitch - that means plenty of room to make yourself comfortable.

It's our way of giving you the choice of something a little extra, over and above our regular seats - which by the way, have an average seat pitch of 31inches, which is not to be sneezed at! But if you'd love a little bit extra, please step into the Blue Zone!

How does it work?

Book your flights via our website, or through our Guest Contact Centre, and (subject to availability and Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue safety requirements*) upgrade to Blue Zone Seating by paying an extra fee per below

^ Fee is per person, one way, for each sector in the applicable booking currency of country of origin or purchase. 

Formal connections are categorised as ‘Long’ distance, and charged $45 AUD/NZD, $60 FJD, $70 TOP, $90 WST in the applicable booking currency of country of origin or purchase.

• Virgin Blue Short Flight: Albury-Sydney, Adelaide-Melbourne, Brisbane-Hamilton Island, Brisbane-Mackay, Brisbane-Newcastle, Brisbane-Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast), Brisbane-Rockhampton, Brisbane-Sydney, Ballina (Byron)-Sydney, Canberra-Melbourne, Canberra-Sydney, Coffs Coast-Sydney, Hobart-Melbourne, Launceston-Melbourne, Melbourne-Mildura, Melbourne-Sydney, Newcastle-Gold Coast, Gold Coast-Sydney, Perth-Karratha, Port Macquarie-Sydney, and vice versa.

• Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue International / Long Flight: Auckland-Apia, Apia-Sydney, Auckland-Melbourne, Auckland-Brisbane, Auckland-Rarotonga, Auckland-Tongatapu, Brisbane-Nadi, Brisbane- Port Vila, Sydney-Auckland, Sydney-Nadi, Sydney-Port Vila, Sydney-Tongatapu, Auckland-Gold Coast, Brisbane-Christchurch, Brisbane-Wellington, Christchurch-Melbourne, Christchurch-Sydney and vice-versa, plus all formal connections.

Blue Zone does not apply to Premium Economy (Virgin Blue only) as this fare already includes extra personal space (and more)!
